"Found new hardware" wizard keeps appearing? help!

I seem to always have the found new hardware wizard pop up on booting my win xp core 2 duo machine, this is despite having no new hardware to install. There is an unknown device with a question mark in my device manager but I havent a clue what this is. even when i remove the device from the device manager it keeps reappearing? What could it be as I have no hardware to my knowledge that is uninstalled?How can i find out what it is?

Its annoying all i want is the new hardware wizard to stop appearing can anyone help?
